Odyne was formed in 2001 for the sole purpose of developing and producing electric and hybrid electric propulsion systems for Class 5, 6, 7 and 8 vehicles. In January 2009, Odyne's assets were acquired by the parent company of DUECO, Inc. and Utility Equipment Leasing Corporation (UELC), and relocated to our production facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Odyne benefits from the combined strength of our triad of companies (350+ employees) and has expanded the production and technological advancement of plug-in electric hybrid drive systems for medium and heavy-duty trucks.

Odyne focuses on hybrid solutions for the work truck industry, including vehicles for utilities, municipalities, electric cooperatives, telecommunications companies, and other commercial work truck markets.

Our plug-in system allows trucks to operate on the internal combustion engine and battery power (the Odyne system is independent of fuel type; diesel, gas, CNG or other is also acceptable), reducing carbon emissions, decreasing fleet fuel costs and maintenance needs, all while providing sustainable energy solutions.
