Joe Dalum - President and Chief Executive Officer
Joe Dalum is President and Chief Executive Officer of Odyne Systems, LLC, a leader in efficiency technology and hybrid systems for medium and heavy duty trucks. He has over 30 years of experience in the automotive and truck industries. Dalum founded Odyne in 2009 and has lead company growth through a collaborative and entrepreneurial team effort. He successfully helped to establish corporate strategic relationships, attract new growth capital and launch innovative products.
Dalum has extensive experience in managing projects and bringing new technology from initial concept into high volume production. He has been granted 14 U.S. patents in the area of automotive and hybrid technology. Dalum has developed patented technology for electric vehicles, battery management, powertrain and chassis electrification and energy storage systems.
A strong proponent of increased fuel efficiency for medium and heavy duty trucks, Dalum provided testimony before the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the Committee on Science and Technology, U.S. House of Representatives in support of expanded use of hybrid systems. He served on the Board of Directors for the Green Truck Association (GTA) from 2010-2014 and as President of the GTA in 2013-2014. He currently serves on the Board of the Electric Drive Transportation Association.
Prior to becoming president of Odyne, Dalum helped to manage a large final stage manufacturer of medium and heavy duty vehicles for over 10 years in roles of increasing responsibility; leadership positions included Engineering Manager, Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors. Dalum also worked for General Motors and Delphi for over 12 years on domestic and international programs for leading auto manufacturers.
Dalum earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Thomas Paulsen - Chief Financial Officer
Tom Paulsen monitors financial activities, banking relationships, detailed forecasting and cost containment. He has over 25 years of corporate, financial and leadership experience in a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Odyne, Tom was CFO of Wismarq Industries and was responsible for all accounting, finance, information technology and human resource functions for the $54 million manufacturer of steel and aluminum coil products. During his time there, Tom secured a 30% increase in the Company’s bank credit facility, created significant working capital liquidity, and implemented a Balance Scorecard strategic plan and other metrics for measuring monthly operational management. Tom created $1.3MM in operational cost savings by directing a cross-functional team in identifying opportunities and completing action plans. He also played an instrumental role in negotiating a majority investment by a private equity firm, completed numerous acquisitions and participated in lease negotiations. Prior to Wismarq, Tom was VP of Finance for Dairyland Seed Co. and the CFO/Corporate Controller for Kelley Company. Serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific Sands, Inc.

Matt Jarmuz - Director of Sales
Matt Jarmuz is the Director of Sales for Odyne Systems and has overall management responsibility for the sales of propulsion systems for advanced hybrid electric medium and heavy duty trucks. He also helps to direct business and investment strategies for Odyne.
With over 10 years of experience within the truck industry, Jarmuz has held a variety of positions at Odyne and DUECO, Inc. within the engineering and marketing fields. Jarmuz worked to develop the utility plug-in hybrid system that is currently on the market and being deployed throughout North America. He obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and an MBA from Marquette University.

Bill Mammen - Director of Engineering
Bill Mammen has overall engineering management responsibility for the product development of hybrid electric propulsion & jobsite systems for advanced medium and heavy duty trucks. He focuses on identifying opportunities to further advance and leverage Odyne's technology in various applications, while delivering additional efficiencies for medium and heavy duty vehicles. He also helps to direct business and investment strategies for Odyne.
Prior to joining the company in 2008, Mr. Mammen had over 14 years of experience in automotive engineering, manufacturing and advanced development, working on a variety of domestic and international programs with vehicle and component manufacturers, including General Motors, Ford, Visteon and ArvinMeritor. He has extensive experience in managing projects and bringing new technology from initial concept into high volume production. Mammen has been granted a U.S. patent in the area of hybrid automotive technology.
Mammen obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering - Controls from the Michigan Technological University in 1994.

John R Petras - Director of Business Development
John Petras is the Director of Business Development for Odyne Systems, with overall management responsibility for achieving the technical success of product development projects, while also complying with the financial and organizational objectives of the development process. He also helps to direct business and investment strategies for Odyne.
Prior to joining the company in 2012, Mr. Petras had over 28 years of engineering and program management experience in the automotive, marine, and manufacturing industries. He has worked on a variety of vehicle programs for General Motors in the roles of test, design and development engineer and led product development programs and the Advanced Engineering department for Mercury Marine. He has extensive experience in managing engineering departments, product development processes and bringing new technology from initial concept into high volume production.
Petras obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1983 and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1990.

Jason Beson - Director of Operations
Jason Beson is the Director of Operations for Odyne Systems. Beson has joined Odyne to assure outstanding product performance for advanced hybrid electric medium and heavy duty trucks.
Beson came to Odyne from Volvo Bus N/A and Azure Dynamics where he developed and implemented support solutions for the commercial vehicle and transit industries, with extensive experience in hybrid and electric powertrain systems. He has extensive experience in the development of service organizations, warranty systems and leading cross-functional teams. He is committed to providing customer focused cost-effective solutions. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
