Hydraulic equipment, or other mechanically driven truck-mounted equipment, operates solely through battery power, reducing or eliminating fuel consumption. Even though not jobsite typical, the power is so extensive that the hydraulic equipment could run continuously for up to a 4-hour period, before the re-charge process would begin (truck-mounted equipment typically runs an entire work day with the engine off).
